Exciting Upcoming Senior’s Conference
June 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mark your calendars! Chinook Village is hosting an exciting conference to discuss relevant issues facing seniors today. This conference highlights an educational, “hands-on” interactive approach dealing with tough emotional, spiritual, physical and logistical challenges that come with aging.
Our keynote speaker is Frances Barnes, who has been a motivational speaker, career life coach, consultant, teacher and currently an Associate Coach at BetterUp. Helping to navigate challenges is her passion. This is a great opportunity to interact with those who are involved in the various areas of where you or your parent are “at.”
Come prepared to enjoy our Breakout Sessions that will highlight areas of interest; browse information booths; interact with local experts on subjects relating to aging, and prepare to enjoy a culinary delight with the Buffet Lunch provided by our own Red Seal Chef.

Chinook Village is pleased to present their new partnership with Sandstone Pharmacies Crescent Heights!
Effective March 1, 2018, Chinook Village implemented an important new agreement with Sandstone Pharmacies, Crescent Heights. Briefly stated, the benefits of working with a single pharmacy help reduce medication errors and hospital admissions.
Sandstone provides professional support and hands-on care across southern Alberta. They are accessible 24/7 and offer free delivery of prescription medication. Sandstone also conducts a comprehensive annual medication review with individual residents and assesses residents prior to the start of the influenza season each year to ensure residents have an up-to-date antiviral prescription on file in the event of breakout.
This is the safest and best practice for standardizing dispensing and distribution of medications by Health Care Aides as recommended by Health Quality Council of Alberta and the Continuing Care Health Services Standards.
If you have questions concerning this program, please call 403‑526‑6951 and ask to speak to the Managing Director.
